Logistics Systems Analyst

Air Force Logistics, Installations, and Mission Support Information Systems Enterprise transformation activities. Primary activities include gathering, analyzing, and proposing performance management solutions and integrating cross-functional business requirements. DSD Laboratories, Security Systems Division is currently seeking experienced Security Analyst candidates with hands on experience performing Information Systems Security Engineering (ISSE), as well as Certification and Accreditation (C&A) activities utilizing the Department of Defense Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process (DIACAP). This position directly supports the System Program office in its development, fielding and sustainment of Government Mission Applications. Candidates should also be comfortable leading Junior Security Analysts as they will be required to serve as the Subject Matter Expert on projects where Junior Analyst are tasked. The candidate should be comfortable advising and providing input to ensure project deliverables are met.

individual chosen for this task will act as the senior Program Manager (PM) for a large scale Information Technology support contract in support of the Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD) Chief Information Officer (CIO). There will be three major activities under this contract.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide a broad range acquisition support duties following DoD systems acquisition policy and NSSAP policy regulations, and guidance. Support program or system acquisition by preparing applicable documentation and reports, and by analyzing contract execution. Analyzes acquisition issues and develops risk reduction and mitigation approaches for improving program planning, control, and execution. Provide support to the Program Manager for FAB-T Increment 1 by creating and maintaining data repositories of both hard copy and electronic integrated master plans (IMP) and schedules (IMS).

Responsibilities will include to

Develop and maintain a variety of program documents to implement an IMP/IMS capability. Work in conjunction with the FAB-T Increment 1 program team to collect, organize, and program data, activities, and events to be displayed within an IMP and IMS collection. Manage updates and accuracy of the program schedule(s) on a daily basis. Serve as the lead scheduler supporting program meetings and reviews. Track progress against established baseline and remaining work on major program activities. Provide analysis and metrics to identify potential problems and assessment of the critical path.

DSD Security Systems Division is located in Montgomery, Alabama and serves customers nationwide. Security Systems Division is a division of DSD Laboratories Inc.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to perform detailed Qualitative and Quantitative Risk Analysis through the Security Controls Assessment (SCA) (a.k.a. Security Test and Evaluation (ST&E) process. In order to execute the SCA process, candidates must be technically proficient. They will be required to evaluate and analyze technical vulnerabilities of major operating systems (e.g., MS Windows, UNIX, LINUX, mainframe, etc.), networking environments (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, intrusion detection, load balancers, Domain Name Service, VPN, etc.), and major server environments (e.g., MS SQL server, Oracle, web servers, etc.) in accordance with risk methodologies.

Candidates should also be comfortable mentoring and providing leadership to Security Analysts I & II, as they will be required to serve as the Subject Matter Expert and perhaps provide project management on multiple concurrent tasks on projects where more junior Analyst are tasked. The candidate should be comfortable advising and providing input to ensure project deliverables are met.

Required Qualifications:

Masters Degree: MIA, ITM, MIS, CIS, CS, or other technical discipline or Graduate Certificate in Information Assurance.

IAM Level III Certified (CISSP, CISM, or GSLC)

Active U.S. Government Security Clearance

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Must possess a minimum of 7 years technical experience within multiple security disciplines/domains (10 years without an Advanced Degree)

Must possess a minimum of 3 years consulting experience within the IT and IA disciplines

Business Analyst

DSD Laboratories has an exciting opportunity for a Business Analyst to work in Dayton OHIO. The ideal candidate will be capturing and managing in support of Air Staff information management activities supporting overall enterprise Logistics IT initiatives. The primary activity will be supporting the overall Logistics data warehousing/decision support efforts including gathering business/functional requirements by working with initiative owners, process owners, and subject matter experts across the Air Force to include various Air Staff/A4/7 Divisions, MAJCOM A4/7 Divisions, Depot and Base Level personnel. Candidate will act as the liaison between Air Staff, the functional community and development teams to help interpret, decompose, analyze, document, and transition business requirements to the Systems Integrator for development/configuration of data warehousing/business intelligence capabilities. Further activities may include participation in system development lifecycle milestone reviews (requirements, design, test, and deployment) to ensure the requirements are being met. Support facilitation and guidance of various Joint requirments are properly captured and accurately traced to business initiatives. Ensures that ll enterpirse data strategies and initiatives are compliant with DoD and Air Force Governance and Enterprise Architectures.

The ideal individual will have extensive experience and knowledge working within the Air Force buisness operations paricularly in Logistics with general understanding of supply chain management principles. An understanding of Business Intelligence Tools such as Cognos, Business Objects and Open Source is a Plus. Understanding AF Management process is desirable. Strong project management skills with IT implementations preferred. Familiarity with Software Develpment Lifecycle processes and/or managing information system development. Previous experience with requirements management tools, business modeling, PMP and Six Sigma Certification are a plus but not required. Must be well organized and have written and oral communication skills. BA/BS Degree. DoD clearance and estimated travel is 10-20%.
