One Stop PCI

If you process, transmit, or store credit or debit card information you are required to comply with the Payment Card Industry's Data Security Standard. The Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) v1.1, dated September 2006, details information security requirements for merchants, service providers, and acquirers to help protect against fraud and identity theft.

Backbone Security using its One Stop PCI Scan, has been certified by the PCI Security
Standards Council as an Approved Scanning Vendor (ASV) to conduct the required quarterly
vulnerability scans and help you become PCI DSS compliant. Our scanning will not impact
customer applications, databases, or networks.

For most merchants (businesses who have fewer then 6 million credit/debit transactions per year) the requirements are fairly basic and inexpensive. These merchants, categorized from Level 2 through Level 4 based on the number of transactions, are required to have quarterly vulnerability scans from an approved scanning vendor and to complete an annual self-assessment questionnaire.

All Approved Scanning Vendors (ASV) have passed the rigorous Payment Card Industry (PCI) qualification tests. However, Backbone Security has breadth and depth of knowledge that sets us apart.
